Dr. Mai Hawas is an Experienced lecturer and academic with a focus on Islamic architecture, heritage conservation, and architectural theory. Teaching roles include History & Theory of Islamic Architecture at Misr International University, French University in Egypt, and Misr University for Science & Technology, along with online courses on the spiritual dimensions of Islamic Architecture. Delivered lectures at prominent institutions such as Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Tanta University.
She is also an Author of several books (six books) and articles on architectural heritage, poetry, sustainability and spirituality, including "The Prejudice in the Interpretation of Islamic Architecture" and "Architecture as Spiritual Interpretation." Published poetry collections like "The Spirit of Trees" and "Anemic Cities." Contributions featured in conferences and journals, highlighting themes in urban design and conservation.
